On September 20th 2025, CEDAR-COM joined ASCOA and other partners to commemorate the 40th International Coastal Clean Day at Down Beach, Limbe. The campaign held against the theme “Clean seas against climate crisis,” bringing together about 100 volunteers who were determined to tackle the issue of plastic pollution.

Safety guidelines and tips were provided by the safety office of ASCOA to ensure the wellbeing of participants before the start of the clean up campaign. Volunteers then spread across the coastline collecting waste and by the end of the clean-up, the team had gathered over 2million plastics and 2million assorted waste separating them into different categories.
